The Rocks5 nights5.0 star property8.6/10 - Excellent (1,000 reviews)"This hotel is in a fantastic location and it is a very nice hotel but it should not be billed as a 5 star luxury hotel. It is really a 3.5 star hotel. The biggest complaints are no elevator, they do have a dumb waiter for bags. The windows are single pane (barely). When people walk ups and down the Suez Canal or Nurses walk you can hear every conversation. There is a bar behind the property that gets loud as well. Next is no bottled water but the staff did tell me I could feel free to..."Reviewed November 5, 2026Roundtrip • New York (EWR) - Sydney (SYD)EWR - SYD • 1 stop SYD - EWR • 1 stop$3,390$2,950found 18 hours agoper traveler - The Old Clare by Ode Hotels

"The place needs a good clean. The common areas and stair case look like it hasn’t been mopped for days. Awful smell in the toilet/shower cubicle until the shower was used. I had to turn the fridge off to sleep because of the loud buzzing noise and forget leaving air con on overnight or window open to get fresh air from the stinky bathroom. McDonald’s drive through intercom outside window until early hours of Sunday morning meant little to no sleep."
